Frequently Asked Questions

How do recommendations work?

ParkPilot's engine scores every open attraction (rides, shows, and character experiences) using live wait times, your walking distance, party composition, weather conditions, and your must-do list. The top recommendation is the option most likely to give you the best next move based on current conditions.

How long does the free trial last?

The free trial begins with your first recommendation request and lasts a full park day (16 hours). After that, a ParkPilot Pro subscription is required to continue using recommendations.

I subscribed but the app still shows the paywall.

Tap "Already a subscriber? Restore" on the paywall screen. If the issue continues, force-quit the app and reopen it. If you still have trouble, email [email protected].

I got a new phone. How do I restore my Pro subscription?

Open ParkPilot, complete onboarding, and when the paywall appears tap "Already a subscriber? Restore." If you have an active subscription under the same Apple account, Restore should reactivate ParkPilot Pro.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone to cancel or modify your ParkPilot Pro subscription.

How do refunds work?

Apple handles all purchases and refunds. Use Apple's Report a Problem feature to request a refund.

The map won't open.

Make sure Apple Maps or Google Maps is installed. Tap "Open in Maps" and select your preferred app if prompted.

A wait time or recommendation looked wrong. How do I report it?

Email [email protected] with the park, approximate time, the recommendation you saw, and what seemed incorrect. Screenshots are helpful. ParkPilot reviews reports to determine if the issue came from source-data delay, attraction status change, or ParkPilot's scoring logic.

How do I request deletion of my data?

Email [email protected] for privacy or deletion requests. They may ask for your device identifier to locate your records.

What is "Update plan" and how is it different from "New plan"?

"Update plan" lets you change your party type, must-dos, pace, or leave time mid-visit without losing your session history (completed rides, dismissed attractions). "New plan" starts completely fresh — your previous session history is cleared and a new session begins.

How do I change the app appearance?

Go to Settings → Appearance and choose Light, Dark, or System. The preference is saved and persists across relaunches.

The app suggested I switch to a different park. What does that mean?

ParkPilot uses your device's location to calculate walk times to attractions. If it detects you are near a different park than the one in your current plan, it will show a banner suggesting you switch. You can tap Switch to start a new plan for that park or dismiss the banner to continue your existing plan.
